When it comes to high-end gamepads, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 reigned supreme over fans of best xbox series x games since its launch in 2019. But now a new challenger has been announced that could be ready to take its crown.
The Nacon Revolution X Unlimited is a premium controller for Xbox Series X/S and PC that's coming later this year. While pricing details haven't been announced yet, don't be surprised if it falls into the $200 / £200 price range. After all, that's what the company originally charged for the Revolution 5 Pro — a PS5 controller so good I can never go back to the DualSense Edge.
Like the Revolution 5 Pro, this new Xbox controller will also work on the best gaming pc. The coolest feature of the X Unlimited? It has an LCD screen that allows gamers to save different game profiles and then switch between them on the fly without having to access the pad app.

As for the controller's other key specs, Nacon promises up to 10 hours of battery life, which is roughly double that of Sony's DualSense Edge. Hall effect triggers should help reduce irritating stick drift, while also extending the controller's lifespan.
Like the Revolution 5 Pro, the X Unlimited also has trigger blocks that let you set a shorter travel distance, which will likely come in handy in your next megaton shooter. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Batten down the hatches
Nacon's new Xbox/PC controller features six programmable shortcut buttons, as well as a set of action buttons featuring “micro-switch technology for maximum responsiveness,” according to the peripheral maker.
It also comes with 2 alternative D-Pads and 6 controller weights that can be inserted into the back of the pad to give it more weight. A duo of stick rings are also included and promise to allow players to “adapt the ergonomics to their own playstyle.”

Finally, on the PC side, latency will be reduced by 1-2ms compared to using the X Unlimited on Xbox Series X/S. It also supports gyro technology to simulate joysticks, which means we could be dealing with a peripheral that could turn out to be one of the best PC gaming controllers. But only time will tell.
Nonetheless, as a big fan of the Revolution 5 Pro, I'm fully on board the hype train surrounding the Nacon Revolution X Unlimited.
