PlayCap, a “pioneering syndicate of female-led angel investors,” hopes to “significantly improve the representation of women” in the gaming investment space.
Founded by angel investor Bibbi Wikman, PlayCap aims to bring together experienced investors with newcomers and create a “collaborative environment where women with industry experience can make impactful investments.”
However, PlayCap says it does not restrict its investments to only female-led gaming companies and “remains open to any promising opportunities identified within the gaming industry.”
“Networking offers an exceptional opportunity to gain investment experience, which is why PlayCap brings together both experienced investors and newcomers with significant industry expertise,” Wikman said.
“By leveraging our collective industry experience in game development, business creation, leadership, marketing, human resources, law and more, PlayCap members are uniquely positioned to provide robust support to game studios and companies.”
