Strands #157
“Oh oh oh!”

Hey Strands fans. This one was a tough one. “Oh, oh, oh!” is awfully cryptic, but I got lucky and quickly found DOUGH in the upper right corner.
I figured out that these were things that rhyme with “oh” – and then managed to pronounce the RHYMETIME spangram from bottom to top – but even then it was a bit difficult.
It didn't help that I found WHOA in the bottom left, but originally spelled it WOAH. It took me an embarrassingly long time to try an alternate spelling, but even then I was a bit stumped and had to use a hint. The hint revealed the anagram for VAOCOAD, which I deciphered as AVOCADO.
There were three left, and it was a bit like pulling teeth, difficulty-wise. GUI was the only one left on the left side of the board, so it wasn't too difficult, but the right segment was extremely tricky, although I saw that both answers probably ended in “arc” and “water” to fit the rhyming brief.
The first one, in fact, was RAINBOW. And that left the way clear to make CASTLE with my remaining letters.
Well, I found this one really hard, but maybe that's just me! I hope tomorrow's will be easier.
