Today's Connections Answer — Hints to Help You Solve It
Unlike our Wordle answer guide today, where we recommend the best Wordle starter words as a strategy, solving Connections relies on identifying connecting categories among 16 words. The difficulty level of each category is represented by a color; yellow is the easiest grouping and purple is the hardest. Once you make 4 mistakes in your guesses, the answers will be revealed, so the hints can be helpful.
If you need hints to solve the groupings, here are the themes for each, in order of difficulty:
- 🟨 YELLOW: Musical genres
- 🟩 Green: Bratwurst Accompaniments
- 🟦 Blue:Yoga postures
- 🟪 Purple: Let's start with Pixar movies.
These clues should help you find at least part of the answers to today's questions about connections. If not, you can continue reading for more detailed clues; or, if you just want to know the answer, scroll down the page.
Here's a broader clue: Don't bother with today's puzzle. Instead, put on some music, grab some snacks, and watch one of the movies you loved to watch as a kid.
Today's Connections Answers
So what are today's Connections answers for game #435?
Drum roll, please…
- 🟨 Musical genres: Blues, country, folk, rock
- 🟩 Bratwursts go well with: Kid, bun, mustard, sauerkraut
- 🟦 Yoga postures: Chair, mountain, tree, warrior
- 🟪 Let's start with Pixar movies: Coconut, soulmate, bun, wallet
After being stumped by yesterday's puzzle, I was glad to have had an easier time today. The yellow category came first without much difficulty. Blues is hard to mistake for anything other than a genre, and once I started trying to spot other genres, country, folk, and rock quickly came up.
I went to a family barbecue yesterday and had to think about hot dogs and hamburgers again because green came next with the Brat, Bun, Mustard and Sauerkraut.
I fumbled around a bit after that, but managed to get a wrong answer to guess another category correctly. I had heard of Mountain and Warrior poses in yoga before, and I vaguely remember Chair from a yoga class a friend took me to years ago. But I didn't realize Tree was also a part of it; the more you know!
The purple category became a routine category after that. I really should have been able to guess the connection given that the same category yesterday was related to another animated movie, Snow White, but that still wasn't enough to give me a clue.
Answers to yesterday's connections
Reading this in a later time zone? Here are Connections' answers for game #434, which had a difficulty rating of 3.4 out of 5, according to the Connection companion.
I understand why yesterday's puzzle had such a big difficulty spike. This purple category is downright evil.
This time, only the green category came easily to me. What if and Suppose are close enough to stand out immediately, followed by Maybe and Say once I thought about common ways to phrase questions.
Next came the yellow category, but by then I had already made a mistake. I thought Nerd, Runt, Grump, and Dope could be related because they can all be used as insults. When I had this idea, I wondered what else Time Set could be if not something to do with an alarm clock, and so Alarm, Hour, and Snooze fell into place.
The blue category was tricky, with Kiss, Nerd, Runt, and Whopper all referring to candy, not playground insults or Burger King hamburgers, as I mistakenly thought.
I ran out of answers before I could solve the purple category. Dope, Grump, and Sleep seem obvious now even if they weren't immediately obvious, but I don't think I would have ever associated Do (as in the name Doc without the “c”) with them alone. You win this time, Connections Crew.
