Mad Crusader has announced that it will invest $30 million in premium AA game IP developed in its incubation program.
The Cyprus-based company will share the investment across four rounds within two years, supporting graduates in developing early-stage concepts into commercial intellectual property products.
Investors and residents of the incubation program “will have an equity stake in the product and an equity stake in Mad Crusader's game development holding company.”
In the first round of the programme, which ran from October 2023 to May 2024, 10 participants graduated. The second round will begin on 21 October 2024.
“We founded Mad Crusader because we believe we have a solution to the biggest paradox of the global entertainment industry today: everyone wants new IP, but no one wants to invest, because it's a risk,” said founder and CEO Yarr Rash.
“Our program democratizes the creation of intellectual property, harnessing the enormous creative potential of talent around the world who may not have access to traditional educational or industrial paths.”
Mad Crusader was founded by industry veterans from EA and Wargaming, including Yarr Rash, Al King (VP of Brand and Marketing), and Jacob Beucler (VP of Game Development).
