Redemption Road's Kingmakers has landed a film adaptation ahead of its release.
The upcoming time-traveling shooter, which also includes strategy and tower defense elements, announced today that it is “coming to the big screen.”
Publisher tinyBuild says it has partnered with Story Kitchen to “tell a unique story and establish intellectual property.”
Together, the partners look forward to “bringing you a live-action film adaptation of our upcoming time-traveling medieval action game that lets players take an arsenal of assault rifles, humvees and attack helicopters to war-torn medieval England, where they will aid Owain Glyndwr's 1401 Welsh Rebellion through massive simulated battles.”
Story Kitchen was founded in 2022 by Sonic the Hedgehog producer Dmitri M. Johnson and former APA agent Mike Goldberg to adapt video games and “other non-traditional IP” for film and television.
He is also assisting Phoebe Waller-Bridge with her TV adaptation of Tomb Raider for Amazon and the film adaptation of Black Salt Games' Dredge.
