We're less than a month away from the likely iPhone 16 release date, and we have our first big hint at how much Apple's new phones will cost.
On X, Apple Hub, a regular Apple leaker, has shared a number of technical specifications for the entire iPhone 16 lineup, including the starting prices of each model.
Surprisingly, Apple seems to be keeping the iPhone 16 pricing in line with the iPhone 15 series, at least for the majority of devices. And in a summer where Apple’s smartphone competitors have been raising their prices, we can feel our wallets breathing a little easier. This pricing news alone could propel the iPhone 16 models to the top of our list of the best iPhones.
The only change that can be seen in the Apple Hub leak is the iPhone 16 Pro. It will reportedly start at $1,099, which is $100 more than the iPhone 15 Pro. However, Apple seems to have a few changes planned for this new phone. In addition to a larger display and the adoption of a new telephoto camera, the iPhone 16 Pro will reportedly come with 256GB of storage. This is the same decision Apple made last year when it increased the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The leak seems to confirm a lot of information we've already covered, including the introduction of the largest versions of the Pro and Pro Max tiers yet with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.
Apple Intelligence support on all phones isn't exactly a surprise. Apple has already said that you'll need an iPhone running on an A17 or later, and the new phones are all expected to feature an A18 system-on-chip. In the case of the Pro models, Apple apparently has a pro variant of the A18 in the works.
The rumored specs point to some potential disappointments. If you were still hoping for an iPhone 16 Ultra, the Apple Hub leak makes no mention of that legendary device. Perhaps an Ultra version of the iPhone will debut next year alongside the much-rumored iPhone 17 Slim.
Battery life could also be a challenge for the iPhone 16 Pro, as it will have a smaller battery capacity than the Plus and Pro Max versions. But the space available in the compact iPhone 16 Pro, even with its larger screen, is limited.
The entire iPhone 16 lineup was rumored to get Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, but if this spec sheet is accurate, only the Pro models will offer the feature. The Pro cameras should also be a bit better, with a 48MP ultrawide and 5x optical zoom for the Pro and Pro Max.
We'll know more for sure when Apple launches its flagship phone lineup at its September event. Stay tuned to Tom's Guide where we'll have all the latest updates as they come in.
