I love the Sony Inzone H5. This awesome PS5 headset is a joy to play games on or listen to your favorite movies/shows/music on, it's super comfortable to wear for hours on end, and it just so happens to be the best PS5 wireless headset I've tested. And now it's just been slashed in price at Best Buy
Right now, the Sony Inzone H5 Wireless Gaming Headset is on sale for $129 at Best Buy. $20 may not be a huge savings over the $149 suggested retail price that this brilliant audio offering from Sony normally sells for. But I'd argue that the Inzone H5 is such a quality headset that the iconic Japanese company could easily get away with charging more for it. There's a reason I called it a “mid-range marvel” when I reviewed it.
Speaking of which, here's what I said in my 4/5 Sony Inzone H5 Review Verdict: “The Sony Inzone H5 is a breathtaking gaming headset that delivers sensational sound on both PS5 and PC. While technically a mid-range device, the H5 can provide me with richer audio experiences than much more expensive headsets I’ve owned before. Powerful, ultra-comfortable, and delivering fantastic 3D spatial audio, this is the PS5 headset I’d recommend over any other.”
Honestly, this is the easiest Editor's Choice award I've ever given since I started working at Tom's Guide.
I love pretty much everything about the Inzone H5. I think it looks great (especially in white) and it's a battery beast, with 28 hours of battery life on a single charge. The foam ear cups feel so good on my ears that I can wear these headphones for hours while walking around New York in my beloved Marvel's Spider-Man 2. And in terms of sound quality, it's such a full, bass-rich performer that watching the best netflix movies With the H5 wrapped around your head, it's pure pleasure.
It's also very good at handling 3D spatial audio, which many of the best do PS5 games Enjoy it. The best example of a title using this surround sound simulation feature? It's the roguelite shooter Backin my opinion. With the Inzone H5 squeezing your skull, the constant pouring rain of this first alien environment looks fascinating.
The Inzone H5 is even better with the best steam gamesbecause it comes with a handy wireless dongle with a switch to switch between “PS5 mode” and “PC mode”. Why the best pc games Is the sound a little better on Sony's wonderful headset? That's thanks to the Inzone Center application that has improved over the updates. This software allows you to change the equalizer settings (ideal for increasing bass levels), while also allowing you to save custom profiles.
The only reason I didn't give the Sony Inzone H5 full five stars in my review? Unlike the much more expensive model Sony Inzone H9which we consider to be one of the best gaming headsetsIt lacks noise-canceling functionality. Still, I wouldn't let that omission stop you from getting the Inzone H5. It's truly my favorite gaming headset of all time.
